HETAS is the official body recognised by Government to approve biomass and solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services including the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses. Its website has lots of information for consumers, including advice on finding the appliance that is right for you, operating and maintaining your stove, and carbon monoxide awareness.

We recommend you buy well known brands rather than cheap, unbranded imports. The HETAS website provides information on stoves that have received HETAS appliance approval.

Here are links to some manufacturers of woodburning and multifuel stoves.  Many of our customers now buy their stoves from online retailers, in order to get the best possible price.
